Hospitality Management Students Gain Industry Exposure at Chanakaya Dairy Products Limited

The Department of Hospitality Management, RIMT University organized an industrial visit to the Chanakaya Dairy Products Limited, Mandi Gobindgarh for the students to provide practical exposure to the dairy and food processing industry.

A total of 42 students along with 2 faculty members participated in the visit. The main objective of the visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industrial operations and to make students aware of the milk processing, quality control, packaging, and hygiene standards maintained in the food industry.

During the visit, students were briefed by the plant officials about the entire process – from milk collection, pasteurization, standardization to packaging and distribution. The experts also explained the importance of food safety, HACCP, and quality management systems which are directly relevant to the hospitality sector.

Students interacted with the plant managers and clarified their queries regarding production management and operational procedures. The visit proved to be highly informative and enriching for the students.

The Department of Hospitality Management expressed its gratitude to the management of Chanakaya Dairy Products Limited, Mandi Gobindgarh for their cooperation and support in making the visit successful.

The faculty members thanked the University management for encouraging such industry-oriented learning activities for the holistic development of students.
