RIMT Scholarship

RUSET

RUSET is a scholarship cum entrance test conducted by RIMT University to provide financial assistance to meritorious students.

1. Scope

The Scheme shall be applicable to all the students to be admitted in the session 2023-24 in the RIMT University.

2. Objectives

  • To provide quality education to whole student fraternity.
  • To motivate students to maintain standard of achievement in area of their interest.
  • To support financially disadvantaged section of society.
  • To convert non achievers into achievers in academic, sports, culture & social service.
  • To produce good citizens of India.

3. Number of Scholarships

25% of total number of seats available in a Programme.

4. Basis and quantum of award

These shall be as follows

23Living Status of Parents ParentlessEither fatherless or motherless provided the annual family income is less than Rs.2.5 lakh
24Low income  Annual family income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakh. Student will submit the Income certificate issued by the Tehsildar of concerned State at the time of admission and every year/semester subsequently.
25Student of RIMT University Student who will obtain more than 9.5 CGPA in a year (two semesters) in first attempt in the RIMT University examination.Student who will obtain CGPA of 9.0 to 9.5 in a year (two semesters) in first attempt in the RIMT University examination.

5. Discontinuance of Scholarship

Scholarship once awarded, shall continue for remaining  duration of concerned programme subject to the following conditions:

 Maintenance  of Academic standard

The students admitted under the above schemes except sub-clause 25 of clause 4 shall have to maintain a minimum of 7.5 CGPA in each semester, absolute discipline, without any supplementary/compartments  and deposit of regular fee in the stipulated time failing which the incentives given shall stand withdrawn.

 Sports and Games.

If he/she does not participate in sports activities, his/her scholarship shall be withdrawn

Cultural Activities

If he/she does not participate in cultural activities, his/her scholarship shall be withdrawn

4

NCC

If he/she does not participate in NCC activities, his/her scholarship shall be withdrawn

If he/she improves his/her achievement level, his/her scholarship shall be increased to corresponding level

5

NSS Activities

If he/she does not participate in NSS activities, his/her scholarship shall be withdrawn

6

Scouts & Guide

If he/she does not participate in Scouts & Guide activities, his/her scholarship shall be withdrawn

Bravery Award Winner Student

 If he/she improves his/her achievement level, his/her scholarship shall be increased to corresponding level, otherwise, it shall continue at same level.

Disability Level

If his/her disability level increased/reduced, his/her scholarship shall be increased/ decreased to corresponding level, otherwise, it shall continue at same level.

9

Wards of Defence Persons

If status of his/her father/mother improves, his/her scholarship shall be increased to corresponding level, otherwise, it shall continue at same level.

10

Single Girl Child

If status changes, the scholarship shall be withdrawn.

Living Status of Parents

If Annual Family income Increases more than Rs. 2.5 Lakhs, the scholarship shall be withdrawn

Low income

If Annual Family income Increases more than Rs. 2.5 Lakhs, the scholarship shall be withdrawn

13

Wards of regular Staff  of RIMT University/Institution

If staff member leave the university/institution then scholarship shall be withdrawn

6. Special Scholarships

In addition to Scholarships as per clause 4, following Special Scholarships shall be awarded:

  • Scholarship equivalent to 10% of the semester fee of the respective programme to students registering themselves before 15th of June.

7. General Terms

  • Available Scholarships shall be awarded on first come first serve basis.
  • A student can avail RIMT University Scholarship under one parameter only as mentioned in clause 4. However, he/she has the choice to select a better one.
  • Any dispute shall be settled by a committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor.
  • Hon’ble Chancellor can increase/decrease the number of scholarships or add/ remove any provision in above said policy without assigning any reason.
  • Scholarship shall be withdrawn, if a student is found involved in indiscipline /UMC Case or has submitted a wrong document.
