Hands-on Bioinformatics Workshop Organised by the RIMT University School of Sciences
The School of Sciences, RIMT University, successfully organised a hands-on Bioinformatics Workshop aimed at enhancing students’ practical knowledge and technical skills in the field of computational biology and life sciences.
The workshop provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to key bioinformatics tools and techniques, including DNA sequence analysis, BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool), phylogenetic tree construction, and biological data exploration.
Through practical demonstrations and interactive learning sessions, students gained insights into the application of bioinformatics in modern biological research, genomic studies, and molecular biology. The workshop also enabled participants to understand how computational tools can be effectively used to analyse biological data and interpret scientific findings.
The initiative reflects RIMT University’s commitment to promoting experiential learning, research-oriented education, and skill development, preparing students to meet the emerging challenges and opportunities in the field of biosciences and biotechnology.
