Innovation Takes Centre Stage at RIMT University’s Smart India Hackathon 2026
RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh, successfully organized the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 Internal Hackathon on 17th and 18th September 2026, bringing together innovative minds from across the University for two days of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
The event was organized by the Department of Research, Innovation & Incubation (DRI) with the objective of fostering innovation, developing practical solutions to real-world challenges, and encouraging students to transform their ideas into impactful solutions.
The hackathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various departments and disciplines. Throughout the two-day event, participating teams demonstrated their technical expertise, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial spirit while working on innovative ideas aligned with the vision of building a smarter and more technologically empowered India.
The quality and diversity of ideas presented during the hackathon reflected the growing culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at RIMT University. The event also provided students with an excellent platform to collaborate, learn from mentors and experts, and gain valuable experience in developing solutions to complex challenges.
A significant achievement of the event was the selection of 45+ teams for the next phase of Smart India Hackathon 2026. RIMT University congratulates all the selected teams and wishes them success as they take their innovative ideas forward to the next stage.
