Students of RIMT School of Legal Studies attended the Lok Adalat at Khanna
The Second National Lok Adalat of the year 2024 was held on May 11, 2024 at Civil Courts Khanna. Shiri Bhupinder Mittal (SDJM) and Ms. Mahima Bhuler (JMIC) presided the National Lok Adalat Khanna. The National Lok Adalat was held under the directions of National Legal Service Authority (NALSA). The Students of RIMT School of Legal Studies, RIMT University had attended the Lok Adalat at Khanna. In this National Lok Adalat they got interacted with the judicial officers and they also gain legal knowledge of various types of cases entertained in this National Lok Adalat.
The matters settled at this National Lok Adalat Includes, Civil, Criminal, Matrimonial disputes and other categories which fall within the ambit of the jurisdiction of Legal Services Authority Act. Mr. T.S. Atwal (President, Bar Association Khanna) and Mr. Kamal Sharma (Secretary, Bar Assiciation Khanna) introduced the students with Honourable Judicial officers where they have sound discussion about their carriers in Judiciary. The alumni of RIMT School of Legal Studies Mr. Gurpreet Singh Sirhadi also guided the students about the professional ethics related Lok Adalat and Pros. and Cons, of Practice to Advocacy. Dr. SPS Salooja (Dean), Dr. Jyoti Angrish (HOD) and Dr. Parminder Singh (Assistant Professor) of RIMT School of Legal Studies also guided the students that main object of the Lok Adalat is to offer simplified and efficient approach to resolve pending legal matters amicably.
