RIMT University organized a tree plantation drive under the campaign “EK PED MAA KE NAAM”
In an inspiring show of community spirit at NSS Drive on “EK PED MAA KE NAAM” Students, Faculty, and Administrative staff members of RIMIT University planted trees under this awareness drive on 13/7/2024. This plantation drive is started to transform the campus into a green campus. The Drive was inaugurated by Dr. Hukum Chand Bansal (Chancellor) Mrs. Saloni Bansal (Vice Chairman) Dr. Vijay Aggarwal ( Pro Chancellor) (Dr. B.S. Bhatia (Pro Vice Chancellor) Er. Rakesh Mohan (Registrar) Dr. Jibananda Mishra (Dean Academics Affairs ) Dr. Dimple Sharma (Head Doctrinal Research), Mr. Adil Hussain (Senior HR Manager ), Dr. Nitin Thapar ( Dean Student Welfare, Mr. Asish Bali (Associate Director, School of Hospitality Management) Dr. Nidhi Agarwal ( Dean and HOD SOMC) Dr. Jyoti Angrish ( HOD RSOLS ) Dr. Suraj Mehaw ( Principal Nursing College) Dr. Ajay Rana ( HOD Mechanical Engineering) NSS Coordinator Ms. Harjeet Kaur and NSS Programming Officers Dr. Parminder Singh Assistant Professor RSOLS and Ms. Nisha Assistant Professor SOMC talked on the topic “Trees as vital of our ecosystem”, and told students that their this Initiative of Planting trees on the event “ EK PED MAA KE NAAM” will significantly enhance the green cover in our campus.
Students of NSS Unit, Faculty and Staff enthusiastically participated in the event, each contributing to the planting process. The plants were planted at NSS Vatika to support biodiversity and to improve the air quality and shade. The NSS Unit of the University plans to integrate these green spaces into the academic environment. A total of 150 trees were planted during this event in the surroundings of the university and in NSS Vatika.
