RIMT University Announces Strategic Collaboration with Windsor University, Canada
RIMT University is pleased announces Strategic Collaboration with Windsor University, Canada, one of Canada’s leading educational institutions. This collaboration will foster international academic exchange, research, and innovation, creating exciting opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers on both sides.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in RIMT University’s mission to build a global network of educational partnerships and contribute to advancing knowledge in Engineering & Management. By joining forces with Windsor University, the two institutions will work together on a range of initiatives, including:
- Academic Exchanges and Joint Programs: Students and faculty will have the opportunity to engage in cross-border educational programs and exchanges, enhancing their academic experience and global perspective.
- Collaborative Research Projects: Both institutions will collaborate on cutting-edge research initiatives, sharing knowledge and expertise in areas of mutual interest, including such as technology, healthcare sustainability, etc.
- Innovation and Development: This collaboration will focus on the development of innovative solutions to address global challenges, with an emphasis on Engineering & Management.

RIMT University recently hosted a meeting with representatives from the University of Windsor to discuss potential collaboration and partnership opportunities. The event, held at the RIMT campus, was attended by key members from both institutions.
From RIMT University, the delegation included Dr. BS Bhatia, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rakesh Mohan, Registrar, Dr. J. Mishra Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Satish Saini Director IQAC and Dean School of Engineering, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Dean School of Computing, Mr. RP Singh, Associate Director Research Innovation and Incubation, Dr. Jasmeen Gill, Associate Head CSE and Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal Head Management Studies and Commerce. The University of Windsor was represented by Dr. Bil Van Meyst Dean of Engineering, Mr. Christopher Busch, Associate Vice President Strategic Enrollment, Ms. Niharika, Mr. Vijay Nair (GECF) and Mr. Lakshmi Narayanan (GECF). The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Jasmeen Gill who provided an overview of RIMT University and its academic programs. This was followed by a presentation from Mr. Christopher Busch, who introduced the University of Windsor and highlighted areas of interest for future collaboration.
Following the formal presentations, the dignitaries proceeded to Hospitality Management for a High Tea and Networking Breakfast, providing an opportunity for informal discussions and networking.
A campus tour was then organized, with a focus on the School of Engineering, where the heads of the respective departments guided the visitors through various labs and ICT classrooms. This tour gave the guests a firsthand look at RIMT’s state-of-the-art facilities.
In parallel, a Master Class for Engineering and Management students was conducted, featuring a lecture by Dr. Bil Van Heyst. Dr. Van Heyst’s presentation centered on sustainable engineering solutions in the face of Complex Global System using cutting-edge technologies, offering valuable insights for both students and faculty alike. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. RP Singh.
The day was marked by a significant milestone when an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed between RIMT University and the University of Windsor, formalizing their commitment to collaboration and the sharing of resources and knowledge in various academic domains.
This partnership is expected to foster greater academic exchange, research collaboration, and opportunities for students from both institutions.
