About Programme
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is an undergraduate professional degree in dentistry that prepares students to diagnose, prevent, and treat diseases and disorders of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity. It combines comprehensive academic learning with extensive clinical training, enabling graduates to provide quality oral healthcare and promote overall dental wellness.

Distribution of seats is as under:
- Government Quota seats: 50
- Management/Minority Quota seats: 50 ((Including 15% NRI Quota) )
Reservations as notified by Govt. of Punjab in the notification for the admission 2026-27.
Eligibility
- The admission to BDS course shall be open to candidates who have qualified NEET UG-2026 and eligible as per Punjab Govt. notifications and subsequent amendment(s)/corrigendum(s).
- Merely applying for admission to BDS course on the basis of NEET-UG-2026 will not entitle the candidates eligible. Eligibility and merit of a candidate for admission will be determined by the Admission Committee strictly as per rules and regulations laid down in the Punjab Govt. Notification(s).
- Counselling/Admissions shall be conducted by the admission committees constituted by the Punjab Government for this purpose.
- Age as per NEET-UG 2026.

Hostel Charges may be hiked from 5% to 10% for each subsequent year.
NOTES:
- All above mentioned fee shall be payable at the time of admission.
- Notification will be released to deposit the fee of subsequent six months in due course.
- If a candidate leaves the Institute/shifts or migrates to some other Institute, after the last date of admission or before completing the full course including Internship training, due to any reason whatsoever, the security will stand forfeited. In addition, he/she will have to pay all balance fees for the entire course. For this purpose, he/she will have to furnish, at the time of admission, a Surety Bond/Bank Guarantee Year wise for the amount equivalent to balance fee of remaining duration of the course along with an affidavit duly sworn in by the candidate himself / herself and his / her parents duly attested by an Executive Magistrate.
- The fee shall be refunded/adjusted if candidate is shifted from one college/course to another in subsequent counseling before closure of admission process/cut off date.
- NO DUES certificate from the accounts section, library, hostel and cafeteria etc. is mandatory before processing University examination form for each professional examination.
6. The University Registration Fee/Examination Fee or Any other Fee/Charges notified from time to time by the University will be payable by all the candidates admitted in BDS Courses.
Enrollment
1. All the candidates provisionally allocated seats at RIMT Dental College through ONLINE Counselling will report to the RIMT Dental College for medical examination and enrollment.
2. The candidates are required to carry original and one set of self attested copies of the following certificates/documents at the time of enrollment in RIMT Dental College, Mandi Gobindgarh.
A. Matric or equivalent certificate for date of birth
B. Declaration from the Parent/Guardian
C. Detailed Marks Card of 10+1
D. Qualifying Examination Detailed Marks Card (of 10+2)
E. Admit Card (12th Class)
F. Entrance Test (NEET-2026) Admit Card
G. NEET-2026 Result Card
H. Character Certificate from Institution last attended
I. Migration Certificate from institution last attended
J. Residence Certificate
K. Copy of Aadhar Card
L. Category Certificate (if applicable)
M. Gap year undertaking by the candidate after affixing self attestation and recent colour photographs (If there is a gap after passing 10+2 examination)
N. Eight colour passport size photographs (unattested) as on the Entrance Test Admit Card.

Instructions For Filling Up Enrollment/Admission Form
1. After declaration of the result of the ONLINE Counselling by admission committee for UG Courses on the day of joining at RIMT Dental College. They are also required to carry original and one set of self attested copies of the certificates/documents as said above.
2. After deposition of fee , enrollment form and medical examination form will be required to be filled by the candidate at the time of joining.
3. In case any candidate is found to have furnished false information or certificate, etc. or is found to have withheld or concealed information in his/her application form he/she shall be debarred from admission and legal action will also be taken as per rules.
4. For claims on reserved seats wherever applicable, the candidates must support their claim by attaching self-attested photocopies of appropriate certificate(s)/documents issued by competent authority.
