Legal Awareness Programme by School of Legal Studies

Students of RIMT University – School of Legal Studies along with faculty member conducted the legal awareness programme at Central Jail, Patiala on the occasion of International Women’s Day. In this programme students interacted with the women prisoners and made them aware about their various rights including their human right under prisoner’s act and special rights for women under Indian Constitution and other acts.

Student also visited different sectors of jail including workshop and other curriculum activity area under which students observed that vocational training is being given to inmates to make their rehabilitation more effective. At last this Jail visit was knowledgeable for the students and gained information regarding the prisoners life.
