School of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized two-days International Conference on theme “Pharmacy Horizons: Pioneering Trends in Pharmaceutical Research and Development.”
RIMT University – School of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized two-days International Conference in collaboration with APTI (Punjab State Branch) and the Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (SPER). The conference, held on 12th-13th November 2024, was themed “Pharmacy Horizons: Pioneering Trends in Pharmaceutical Research and Development.” We witnessed an overwhelming response with 600+ participants from across the globe. Additionally, there were 300+ oral and poster presentations, highlighting the active engagement and contribution of researchers in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
The conference was inaugurated with a warm welcome extended to all dignitaries and delegates by Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Principal of the College of Pharmacy at RIMT University. The objectives and significance of the conference was highlighted, emphasizing its role in fostering collaboration and advancing knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences.
Mr. Vijayant Bansal, Chancellor and Dr. B.S. Bhatia, Pro Vice Chancellor, congratulated the staff and students for their dedication and successful organization of the event.
On first day, The session began with presidential address from our Guest of Honour, Sh. Sushil Kumar Bansal, President, Punjab State Pharmacy Council. The conference also featured Inaugural addresse Dr. Milind Umekar, President of APTI India and Keynote address by Dr. Gulshan Bansal, President of APTI (Punjab State Branch), Chairperson, and Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research, Punjabi University, Patiala.
In Technical Session I, the lecture was delivered by Dr. V. R. Palanimuthu, Professor at Queen’s University, Northern Ireland and Technical Session II was by Dr. Nasir A. Siddiqui, Professor, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.
On second day, The Keynote Address was delivered by Dr. V.K. Kapoor, Professor Emeritus at G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar, and Former Dean of the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The technical session III started with inspiring words from our Guest of Honour, Dr. Upendra Nagaich, Director at Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University and Director of SPER Market Research Pvt. Ltd., Noida.
The conference concluded with a summary presented by Dr. Sanjiv Mittal, Director, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Parminder Nain, Dean, Pharmaceutical Sciences. Participants from across the country were recognized for their contributions. The Valedictory Session concluded with the National Anthem.
