World Food Day Celebrated at RIMT University
The School of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, RIMT University, celebrated World Food Day2025 with great enthusiasm by organizing an Inter-Department Poster Making and Debate Competition. The event aimed to create awareness about the importance of food security, sustainable agriculture, and responsible food consumption among students.
Students from various departments actively participated, showcasing their creativity and ideas on the theme of food and sustainability.
In the Debate Competition, Mehakdeep Kaur from School of Management and Commerce secured the First Position, Diya from the Department of Forensic Sciences bagged the Second Position, and Yadveer sharma from School of Agricultural Sciences and Technology earned the Third Position.
In the Poster Making Competition, Aman Kumar from the Department of Fine Arts won the First Position, Maninder Kaur from the Department of Fine Arts received the Second Position, and PrabhJot Kaur from School of Agricultural Sciences and Technology secured the Third Position.
The event successfully highlighted the significance of “World Food Day” and emphasized the need for collective efforts towards achieving “Zero Hunger.” Faculty members and students appreciated the initiative of the School of Agricultural Sciences and Technology for organizing such an insightful and creative program that inspired awareness and action for a sustainable food future.
