Six-Day Faculty Development Program organized by RIMT University
The School of Education, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), RIMT University, successfully organized a Six-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) focused on the theme “Empowering Educators: Transforming Pedagogy and Practices in Higher Education.”
The FDP aimed to strengthen the pedagogical competencies of faculty members, aligning teaching practices with contemporary academic standards and the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Inaugural Session
The program commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony, graced by eminent dignitaries: Dr. B.S. Bhatia, Pro-Chancellor (Academics), Dr. S.C. Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Jibananand Mishra, Dean of Academic Affairs
Senior university officials and academic leaders also attended the event. The Head of the School of Education welcomed all participants and resource persons, setting a vibrant tone for the sessions ahead.
Participation
The FDP witnessed the active participation of 40 to 45 faculty members from various departments, including: Heads of Departments, Professors, Assistant Professors.
Educators from a diverse range of disciplines came together to engage in academic dialogue and shared learning.
Key Sessions & Expert Contributions
Across six days, participants attended various interactive sessions led by subject experts and senior faculty:
Outcome-Based Education (OBE):
Conducted by the Director of IQAC and Dean, School of Engineering. This session highlighted the importance of OBE in curriculum design and student learning outcomes.
Bloom’s Taxonomy:
Delivered by the Dean, School of Education, and the Dean, School of Social Sciences & Languages. The session focused on applying Bloom’s framework to enhance teaching objectives and student assessments.
AI Tools for e-Assessment:
Led by the Dean, School of Computer Applications, this session introduced modern AI-driven tools to support digital assessment and online pedagogy.
Current Examination System & ERP Utility at RIMT:
Dr. Mahendra Pal Sharma, Controller of Examinations, detailed the university’s examination reforms, ERP integration, and alignment with NEP 2020.
