About Programme
This programme provides every opportunity to those who desire to have training in Clinical Laboratory Technology. It seeks to fill the prevailing lacuna, to the extent possible, so that the rural masses will have the opportunity of receiving the services of such suitably qualified medical laboratory technicians. Outreach Programmes, organized by specialists conducting this course periodically, provide the much-desired exposure to the students and the clinical needs of the rural masses.

Pass in 10+2 Medical -PCB or Vocational Course in MLT / MLS at 10+2 level with 50% marks.

Career Prospects
After passing, students can assist doctors in taking samples, centrifuging, making slides, using specified stains etc, under proper guidance. They have also varied scopes available in molecular diagnostics, molecular biotechnology companies and in vitro fertilization laboratories as well as in research labs. They can also assume administrative functions such as reporting and recording results of tests conducted in the laboratory, maintaining accurate clinical records, selecting and evaluating laboratory equipment and new test methodologies and performing other duties as may be assigned by the laboratory supervisor.
