RIMT University organized 6th International Conference
RIMT University organized 6th Internal Conference on Harmony in Innovation: Bridging Disciplines for Research. Innovation and Sustainable Future on 2nd December, 2024.
The multidisciplinary conference was a groundbreaking event that pushed the boundaries of knowledge and innovation across diverse fields. The attendees got the opportunity to attend dynamic program featuring keynote speakers at the forefront of their respective fields, thought provoking panel discussions, and interactive workshops.
Scholars, researchers, and professionals from around the globe converged to share their insights, engage in rich discussions, and forge connections that transcend traditional academic boundaries.
Dr. B.S. Bhatia, Conference chair and Pro- Vice-Chancellor gave the welcome address and said that the exchange of ideas and perspectives that this conference facilitates is crucial, not only for academic progress but also for driving meaningful change in our communities. He further added that the conference will have the opportunity to witness a dynamic exchange of ideas through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and paper presentations. Dr. Bhatia encouraged all participants to embrace the opportunity to connect with colleagues, share perspectives, and build networks that will lead to lasting collaborations.
Dr. Jibananada Mishra, Conference Convener and Dean Academic Affairs gave the introductory note and said that this conference is not just an academic gathering rather it is a confluence of ideas, cultures, and aspirations to collectively address some of the most critical challenges of our time. He further said that the role of academia in shaping a better tomorrow is more crucial now than ever before. Dr. Mishra added that RIMT University is honored to host participants from across the globe, each bringing unique perspectives and expertise.
He encouraged all to actively engage in the sessions, ask questions, and explore ideas that challenge the existing conditions.
Inaugral address by Mr. Prabhjot Sodhi, Centtre for Environment Education (CEE), Sr. Program Director (Circular Economy), Director MRAI for Jal Shakti Ministry GOI, Thematic Partner (RWPF) Plastics and Dry waste (Pan India). He laid emphasis on the urgent need to bann plastic and advised not to use the packed plastic boxes coming in black color. The consumers are not aware of where the problem lies and they need to be aware. Mr. Prabhjot further added that we will be compelled to change. He asked the students not to worry about Language as it is not the barrier of life.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Amulya K. Panda, Associate Director, Panacea Biotech Pvt. Ltd., and Former Director, National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi. He focused on Engineers and Medicine and said that in future Engineers will become doctors and vice a versa and that will be the best interdisciplinary research. He further told that how Engineers and doctors in future can develop the healthcare. Dr. Panda suggested the ways for health care and advised to take healthy meal and said that one must avoid taking medicine or antibiotics.
The Presidential Address was given by, Mr. V. M. Trehan, Chairman Mekaster Group of Companies, New Delhi. Mr Trehan, widely traveled nationally and internationally and is a well known figure in the field of Telecommunications.
Mr. Trehan has been associated with the Telecom Industry for more than 30 years. During this period, he has made significant contributions which have made him a Telecom Icon internationally. He during his address discussed that no single innovation or invention can create products or services unless there is a cluster of disciplines in it to make it successful. He further added that it is a cluster of these things which are essential for breakthrough in the transformation and interdisciplinary collaboration is very important in research. Mr. Trehan laid emphasis on the importance of the power of listening in comparison to the power of speaking.
Dr. Dimple Sharma gave the vote of thanks and express heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished keynote speakers, panelists, and presenters for their insightful deliberations and contributions that added immense value to this conference. She further added that their expertise and passion have inspired all the participants and provided a wealth of knowledge to reflect upon as we move forward. She gave a special thanks to the esteemed guests, dignitaries, and participants who traveled from near and far to join us for the International Conference.
RIMT University gave the life time achievement award to Mr. Prabhjot Sodhi for his remarkable contribution to the fields of Environmental policy, Environmental sustainability, Global conservation efforts, and the Circular Economy. Dr. Amulya K. Panda in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology and Mr. V. M. Trehan for his contributions to the Fields of Science, Technology, Telecommunication, Social Harmony, Philanthropic Endeavors, and Scientific Excellence. The conference helped in gaining a wide range of perspectives by interacting with participants from different countries, industries, and academic backgrounds. It will also encourage knowledge dissemination and public awareness on critical topics.
