RIMT University Celebrates World Photography Day by Conducting a Workshop on Photography
On the occasion of World Photography Day, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at RIMT University organized an insightful photography workshop on the theme “It’s not the camera– it’s your vision.”
The session was conducted by Mr. Parv Kalia, Founder of Chroatic Pixels, who shared his professional journey and deep understanding of photography as a creative art form. Through live demonstrations and engaging discussions, Mr. Kalia emphasized that it is the photographer’s imagination, perspective, and storytelling ability that truly define a picture — not merely the sophistication of the camera.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Parv Kalia remarked, “Photography is not about the gadget you hold in your hand, but about the story you choose to tell through your frame. Every click is an expression of vision, emotion, and creativity, and that’s what makes an image timeless.”
The workshop provided students with valuable insights into composition, framing, and the art of capturing moments from unique angles. Students actively participated in the interactive session, asking questions and experimenting with practical exercises under the guidance of Mr. Kalia.
Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, expressed gratitude to the resource person for motivating the students and highlighted that such workshops help budding journalists and media students enhance their creative and professional skills.
The event concluded with enthusiastic feedback from the students, many of whom felt inspired to explore photography not just as a skill, but as a powerful medium of self-expression.
