RIMT School of Legal Studies Organizes Legal Awareness Tour to Supreme Court of India and Rashtrapati Bhavan
RIMT School of Legal Studies organized a Legal Awareness Tour to the Supreme Court of India and Rashtrapati Bhavan, providing students with a first-hand experience of the country’s highest judicial and executive institutions.
The tour aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the Indian legal system, constitutional principles, and governance structures. During the visit to the Supreme Court of India, students had the opportunity to witness live court proceedings, gaining practical insights into the judicial process, advocacy, and landmark case discussions. Senior advocates and legal experts also interacted with the students, explaining the significance of judicial independence and constitutional law.
At Rashtrapati Bhavan, students explored the heritage, governance, and historical significance of the President’s official residence. They learned about the President’s role in India’s democracy, decision-making processes, and the rich legacy of the nation’s highest constitutional office. 42 Students along with four Faculty members gone on the tour. The students visited the Supreme Court of India, Rastrapati Bhawan, Bangla Sahib and India Gate. At Supreme Court students seen the Legal Proceedings in live Court, seen the replica of the original Constitution of India, also visited the library for the judges at Supreme Court of India. Students meet with the supreme court lawyers. On next day the students visited the Rastrapati Bhwan for Amrit Udhyan 2025 here the students visited the Bal Vatika, Nature classroom, Plumeria Garden, Rashtrapati Bhawan Museum, Majestic Banyans and many more places. After that visited the Bangla Sahib gurudawara sahib then India Gate after that the students came back to RIMT with lots of memories
Dr. B.S. Bhatia, Pro-Vice Chancellor, RIMT University, emphasized the importance of experiential learning, stating, “Such visits bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, allowing law students to witness the real functioning of the judiciary and executive system.” The legal awareness tour was an enriching experience, equipping students with a deeper understanding of constitutional law, legal ethics, and the functioning of India’s governance framework.
