International Meeting of DESINNO held in RIMT University

RIMT University became the host for the “International Management Meeting of DESINNO(Design and Innovation Capacity Building in India)” at Mandi Gobindgarh today in which representatives from Brunel University, UK, University of Aegean, Greece, Polimi University Italy, World University of Design, Haryana, IIT Delhi converged at RIMT University Campus.“Desinno” is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

Welcoming the delegates, Dr. Hukum Chand Bansal Honorable Chancellor RIMT University hoped that through such initiatives of RIMT University will be able to contribute towards the national goals of Design and Innovation Capacity Building. Mr Vijayant Bansal, Pro chancellor Interacted with the Participants.

Speaking on the occasion Dr A.S Chawla Vice Chancellor congratulated Dr Sanjay Gupta, VC of World University of Design for taking the initiative that will go a long way in the capacity building. “Design and Capacity Building is the need of the hour and we at RIMT University will take it forward to highest level of achieving. RIMT University and World University of Design, Haryana are the only Universities that have been roped in for the project and we feel proud and privileged” said A.S Chawla.

The group will dilate upon the issues of Establishing Centers of Excellence in design education. The group shall also discuss the curricula and pedagogy bench marked to be the best in the world and with suggestive state of Art infrastructure.

Dr.Rajiv Kumar Maheshwary Dean School of Management who earlier participated in the 1st meeting that was held Athens, Greece, co-coordinated the meeting.
