M. Tech – Civil Engineering is a postgraduate Civil Engineering programme. The programme includes designing, supervision and construction activities of public works like roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works, sewage systems, ports etc. and offers a multitude of challenging career opportunities. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category)

Career Prospects
As there will always be the requirement of construction of new building structures so the civil engineers will always be needed to construct those and also maintain and repair existing facilities and structures. So the demand for a civil engineer is never ending. There are tremendous job opportunities with municipal corporations, rail, road and airport construction companies, development companies, water supply department, defence forces and other infrastructure related industries. Students can find employment as a supervisor on a construction site as well a managerial position or also a position in design. They can also engage themselves in research as well as teaching faculty in government and private services and institutes, as well as work as independent consultants.
