The Electrical Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing scientists and technologists of the highest caliber. Students can study topics such as Power Systems, Renewable Energies, Power Electronics and Control Systems to name a few. Our strong under graduate programme in Electrical Engineering and post graduate programme in Power System, Renewable Energy and Hybrid and Electric Vehicle is complemented by world class infrastructure & teaching facilities. The infrastructure and lab facilities are up to the international standards and provide adequate opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate the technological skills. The department has various labs such as basic Electrical Engineering Lab, Power System Lab, Machine Lab, Control Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Electrical Measurement and Instrumentation Lab and MATLAB.
The overall learning of the students is enhanced by conducting various workshops, expert talks from academics and Industry and webinars. The students also undergo for six week and six month industrial training to enhance their technical and professional skill.
The field of electrical and electronics engineering deals with the applications of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Students pursuing this course can explore career options in various domains like engineering works, constructions, information technology etc. As an electrical and electronics engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing electrical equipment, software, and networking systems.

Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering in School of Engineering, RIMT University. Beginning our journey from year 2001, we achieved the trust and faith of our students and continuing this approach with dream of achieving excellence in the field of education. Over the decades, we have grown our expertise and competence in the core Electrical Engineering curriculum. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart practical knowledge -how our students can apply the theory in real life problem and promote their problem-solving skills and innovation of new technologies. The students are encouraged to undertake various research projects.
As we have state of the art research facilities in the constitution with industry to support our academic programs. Our department has a distinguished record in both teaching and research with a motive of solving the technological challenges of the society.
