Computer Engineering is the field which deals with analysing and designing hardware, software, and operating systems for a computer system. The Department’s mission is to advance, evolve and enhance Computer Science and Engineering fundamentals to build the intellectual capital of the society. The Department of Computer Science offers programs of study related to computing, Artificial Intelligence and software design and application.

Various workshops, seminars, expert talks, webinars and training programs based on current technologies are organized for the development of faculty and students. Industrial visits are arranged to expose the students to real world applications and enhance experiential learning. The research work is carried out by the faculty along with students in the areas like Parallel Processing, Image Processing, Data Mining, Networking, Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence. A SWAT (Students Working on Advanced Technology) team has been formulated which works on real life projects and is a platform where students exchange ideas to have insights to global market. With rapidly evolving technology and the continuous need for innovation, the Department has produced quality professionals holding important positions in the IT industry in India and abroad. The Department has modern facilities for teaching, learning and research.
