About Programme
Electronics and Communication engineering is one of the core field of engineering which deals in communication, fibre optics, microwave antenna & radar engineering, analog & digital electronics, digital signal processing and signals & system and related to design, innovations and development of various devices like smart radios, LED TVs, smartphones, robotics solutions and computer & accessories etc. Electronics and Communication engineers play a critical role in healthcare, home appliances, transport systems, cell phones, core manufacturing, automation, IT, control, pharmaceutical and many other industries. There is drastic growth in Electronics, Communication and computing due to upcoming MAKE IN INDIA, DIGITAL INDIA and SKILL INDIA campaign. Without electronics, it is impossible to work. There is a great demand of Electronics and Communication Engineers due to the development of new technologies like IoT, Artificial intelligence and Robotics all over the world.
Eligibility & Admission
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together.

Learning Outcomes
Graduates will demonstrate competency in the electronics & communication disciplines by the understanding of core and elective subjects which opens the door for ISRO, DRDO, HAL, BEL, BHEL, other MahaNavratna or Mini Navratna PSUs .
The core course enables candidates to appear for GATE, UPSC exams for High Class government job profiles and higher studies.
To apply the concepts of electronics, communications, signal processing, VLSI, embedded systems, etc. in the design, development and implementation of application oriented engineering systems.
Programme USP
Industrial visits for the students to expose them with contemporary working environment and practices of the electronics & communication engineering domains.
Hands-on internship under various organizations gives students a real time industry experience with working on industrial products.
MSME granted four projects of worth 31 Lakh to ECE department.
- Entrepreneur & Managerial facilities are provided through RIMT Department of Research, Innovation & Incubation which includes mentorship, seed funding, ideathons, hackathons, start-up meets and IPR & patent support.

- PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
- PSO1 To use problem solving skills to develop and test the electronics based systems for a given specification with efficient solutions using electronics equipment / systems / instruments by applying fundamental knowledge of basic science, engineering, mathematics and computing.
- PSO2 To design & develop the solutions for a given problem as per real industry defined problems by imparting the knowledge of circuits & devices, communication system and embedded systems.
- PSO3 To generate solutions for social and ecological issues related to the professional engineering while working in a team so to enhance critical & innovative thinking through multidisciplinary environment approach.
Career Prospects
It is beneficial to pursue a career in the measurement and control of complex industrial & electrical process. The programme is also beneficial for further studies such as M.EJM.Tech, M.Phil. and Ph.D.
Employment areas are IES, Indian Telephone Industries, BSNL/MTNL, Semiconductor, Chip Design-Industries (Motorola, IBM, HP, STM, Philips, IT etc), Oil sector (IOCL/HPCL/BPCL/IPCL, ONGC, Civil Aviation Department, SAIL, Power Sector (NTPC/NHPC Ltd.), BEL, Indian Railways, ISRO, Software Industries (ALL MNC’S), HAL, Teaching/Research and in the Government Sector.
