About Programme
MA Defence Studies is a Post-Graduate Defence Studies course. The Master of Arts in Defence Studies programme is meant to provide a path through the study of all areas of defence through active learning and knowledge creation through involvement, both individually and in collaboration amongst students. Defence Studies expose students to an in-depth examination of current events and concerns in a global, uncertain world.

Programme Education Objectives (PEOs)
- PEO1 To create, apply and disseminate knowledge of the language, literature, folklore, culture, and manuscripts of Punjabi domain under different specializations.
- PEO2 To develop the ability to identify, formulate and analyze in theatrical and practical domains of Punjabi language, literature, culture, and folklore.
- PEO3 To develop the attitude to peruse further research in Punjabi language, literature and culture.
Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
- PSO1 Research scholars will get understand the relations of history, society, culture, and human behavior with literature.
- PSO2 Research scholars will be aware of the skill of developing intercultural tensions, literary creations, impressive elaboration, and explanation as well.
- PSO3 Research scholars will get knowledge about medieval Punjabi poetry (Gurmat, Sufi, Kissa ate Vaar).
Career Prospects
With a Master of Defense Studies, students can take up a career in the defence sector. Candidates can work for a government department or start their own business. These candidates should be well prepared for competitive exams and must be prepared to serve the country. Besides, diploma holders can also seek employment in journals or government sectors. They can write articles about security angles and day-to-day problems that affect our society.
