About Programme
M. Journalism & Mass Communication is a postgraduate Journalism programme. The Mass Communication theories are integrated into the disciplines offered in the program, such as Film & Television, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising and Multimedia. With the integration of disciplines, students are not only kept abreast with the growth of the media trends, but also of its contents in style and presentation. Such learning experiences through the integration of theory and practice incorporated in the modules will not only mould students to be independent individuals but also train them to possess a healthy flexibility of thought and creative problem-solving skills in line with the industry. Thus, students from this program shall possess added advantages in terms of higher professional creativity and competency to work in the industry. This programme focuses on these parameters. It is a combination of print media, Advertising, Reporting, Copy Writing and Communication Research.

Learning Outcomes

The programme helps to make students aware of technical and aesthetical aspects of Television Journalism, to develop capacity of evaluation and analysis of the events happening around us.
