Annual Convocation hosted by RIMT University
RIMT University hosted its Annual Convocation on 20th April, 2024, marking another significant milestone in the journey of academic excellence. The convocation ceremony, a revered tradition, witnessed the culmination of years of hard work and dedication of our esteemed alumni’s.
The convocation holds special significance as it not only celebrates the academic accomplishments of our alumni’s but also serves as a testament to their resilience and adaptability in the face of unprecedented challenges.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, Deans, Heads and faculty members of different schools and departments, proud parents, and, most importantly, our graduating students who are poised to embark on their respective journeys equipped with knowledge, skills, and a commitment to making a positive impact on society.
The Chief Guest of the day was Air Chief Marshal, Birender Singh Dhanoa. He addressed the alumni’s and wished them all the very best for their lives and career. He further added that RIMT University with its sterling education equipped the students to be worthy citizens of this nation so that they can contribute in transforming the world in a dynamic manner.
Dr. Hukum Chand Bansal, Chancellor, RIMT University congratulated the graduating students, the newest members of alumni. He further said that the students have not only earned a degree but have also matured emotionally and socially through their journey here and said that the vision of the University is to make its students the best versions of themselves. Dr Bansal said that as the students are stepping into the world, he is very confident that the education and knowledge they have received here will serve them well.
Dr. Bhupinder Singh Brar, Vice-Chancellor, RIMT University, said that Education is the key ingredient in nation building as well as socio-economic transformation and RIMT University ensures that the students are equipped with the best competencies and skill sets. He further added that RIMT University has aligned our educational structure and systems to meet the demands of the fast changing global world.
Dr. Vijay Aggarwal, Pro- Chancellor said that Knowledge is an important factor in economies the world over, a trend that is likely to be increasingly dominating the global and national scene. We thus need to quickly align our education system to the needs of changing knowledge driven paradigms in the best interests of our socio-economic development, while remaining consistent with our cultural values and traditions.
Dr. Jibanananda Mishra, Dean, Academic Affairs congratulated the graduates and said that the University expects the best from them in terms of excellence in their professional , personal and social life. Dr. Mishra further added that it is our mission to cultivate the professionals who will become the next generation of leaders.
Dr. B.S. Bhatia, Pro-Vice Chancellor congratulated the alumni’s and advised them to stay curious ,open-minded, and never cease to learn, for knowledge is a lifelong companion . He further said that one must be bold in his endeavors, compassionate in his actions, and steadfast in his commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Rakesh Mohan, Registrar extended sincere thanks to Hon’ble Chief guest, Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa ji, to the Chancellor, dignitaries, faculty members, program advisors and organizing committee members for their continuous efforts and support in making this convocation a success.
