Formation of the Finance Committee
- 1. Formation of Finance Committee:
- 1.1. The Finance Committee shall consist of the following members:

- 1.2. The members nominated by the Trust shall hold office for a period of two years.
- 1.3. The finance committee shall meet at least twice in each academic year.
- 1.4. A notice for the meeting of the finance committee shall be given so as to reach the Committee members at least fifteen days in advance of the meeting and the agenda for the meeting shall be sent to members at least seven days in advance of the meeting.
- 1.5. Four members of the finance committee including Chairman shall constitute the Quorum at the meetings.
Functions of Finance Committee
- 1. Functions and powers of Finance committee:
- 1.1. The CFAO shall get the annual budget of the University prepared along with the requisite documents and submit the same to the Finance Committee for its approval. The CFAO shall also get the accounts of the annual income and expenditure of the University prepared and shall get the same audited from the Chartered Accountant so appointed by the Finance Committee in this regard.
- 1.2. The budget approved by the Finance Committee along with the note with regard to the audit of income and expenditure of the University, referred to in sub-section 1.1, shall be placed before the Chancellor for its approval.
- 1.3. The Finance Committee shall tender advice to the Chancellor on financial matters of the University.
- 1.4. To recommend mechanism and ways and means to generate resources for the University.
- 1.5. To consider any other matters referred to it by the Governing Body and make its recommendations thereon.
- 1.6. To advise the University on any matter affecting finances.
