Five Days Faculty Development Program on Capacity Building
RIMT University has organized the 5th Five Days Faculty Development Program on Capacity Building from 19th September to 23rd September for both research scholars and faculty members. The main thrust of the FDP is to understand the significance of determining with statistical knowledge what valid data can be said to indicate any conclusion. Many research scholars and faculty members from different colleges and universities and also from diverse areas of research have attended the inaugural workshop with great excitement and enthusiasm. Nearly 100 research scholars and faculty members participated in the FDP.
Dr. Vijay Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor of the university inaugurated the FDP. The main focus of this Faculty Development Program is to develop and sharpen the research skills among the research scholars and the faculty members. He also discussed the general issues faced by a researcher while publishing a research paper and also aware the students of the fraud of clone journals. He guided the research scholars to be well aware of the appropriate research methods for conducting research.
The maestros of the FDP are Dr. Amanpreet Singh (Punjabi University), Dr. Richa Shree (Punjabi University), and Dr. Nitin Arora (Punjab University) will discuss the different statistical tools and techniques used in the research. Apart from the above resource person, Dr. B.S Bhatia (Pro Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Jibanananda Mishra, (Dean Academic), and Dr. Mohinder Singh (Visiting Faculty of Public Administration) will discuss the various techniques used in data analysis, Review of Literature, and various techniques for writing research papers and theses.
Dr. B.S. Bhatia, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University welcomes everyone and also gives a formal address to the other eminent dignitaries present over there. He discussed the major issues faced by the research scholars during the research and also advised them to use the thematic approach during their research. Dr. Jibanananda Mishra, Dean Academic Affair conveys his strong message to the research scholars that if they want to be in education, they always need to remain research scholars. He emphasizes full-time commitment, looking for new methods and opportunities, and labor hard in research so that they can come up with something great in the field of research. Dr. Santosh Bali, Assistant Professor and Head, Doctoral Research Centre, gave a vote of thanks to all the speakers and the research scholars and also motivated to enhance their quality of research.
