RIMT University student won Gold and Silver medal in the ISSF Junior world championship in Peru
Another feather added to the RIMT University as Rajpreet Singh from the School of Computing has won a Gold medal in the 10-meter rifle team and one silver medal in the 10-meter rifle mix team in the ISSF Junior world championship at LIMA, Peru.
Rajpreet was already a National record holder in air rifle in 2019 and he acknowledged that the university has provided the perfect environment for sports. Singh thanked all the faculty members and his coaches for all the support he had got from the university.
The Chancellor, Dr. Hukum Chand Bansal, RIMT University lauded the efforts of the student and the department.
Vice-chancellor Professor Vijay Aggarwal admired the student for his dedication and consistent efforts which shows in the form of his success on an international level.
Dr. BS Bhatia, Pro-Vice-Chancellor congratulated on his achievement and added that the university is not only focusing on academics but also motivating the students towards sports.
Dr. MS Bindra, Dean Academics appreciated the efforts of the faculty of the department for encouraging the students to participate in such international events.
