Diploma in Video production is a one year course. The course provides the students with basic production skills and to expose students to recent developments in technology, to strengthen the foundations for various technologies involved in mass media like computer applications, respective software and hardware in print, radio, television, internet and the likes. This program would enable the students to work in various media like print, radio, television, Internet, film and in related fields. Students can start a full-fledged career in journalism or venture into freelancing.

Students will gather, analyze and create journalism on contemporary issues for print, broadcast and other digital media.
Students will use reliable visual aids to tell stories ethically.
Students will demonstrate preparation for an entry-level position in the profession through a portfolio exhibiting their work.
Students will demonstrate knowledge of still photography, videography and audio principles in journalism.
Students will write stories for publication across multiple platforms and industries.
The degree programme trains the aspirants regarding editing, writing, photographing etc. After completion, students can go for higher education if they are interested. They can also find employment with newspapers, periodicals and magazines, central information service, press information bureau, websites, AIR and TV channels. They can also take up the job of writing for multimedia and the web such as writing news and other articles. They must have a skill for writing precise text adaptive to the environment. Employment areas are advertising agencies, broadcasting corporations, circulation and public relations, blogs, central information service, legal affairs department, journals, news agencies, press information bureau, photography companies, TV channels, books and novels, radio telecasting companies and air-All India Radio. Students can also take up B.A. (Mass Communication & Journalism), after completing the diploma.
