About Course

This Futuristic Engineering based approached programme offers students with strong skill of IoT with the punch of AI for engineerization of smarter device. The course will be emphasised on the advance microcontrollers, sensors, and transducers with application development, smart product design engineering and prototyping. Here the aspirants of this domain will be mushroomed-up to design & develop IoT modules with the use of artificial intelligence so to make the IoT devices smarter with brainy fashion.

Eligibility & Admission

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Learning Outcomes

  • The outcomes of the course can be summarized to know about current generation requirement of Internet of Things with Artificial Intelligence, understand the general process of the technology, experience the common aspects of the IoT& AI with R&D projects, ability to use the algorithms, embedded C & smartphone apps to develop IoT & AI based products, Interface to sensors with handling the data at large scale and generate the social & community useable outputs with innovations & entrepreneurship skills.

  • Design and develop components and systems for applications related to Electronics & Communication, Embedded systems, Information security in the context of Internet of things.

  • Apply modern engineering tools to solve complex Electronics & Communication Engineering problems pertaining to Internet of things.

  • MSME granted Two IoT & AI based projects worth 13 Lakh.

  • Entrepreneur & Managerial facilities are provided through RIMT Department of Research, Innovation & Incubation which includes mentorship, seed funding, ideathons, hackathons, start-up meets and IPR & patent support.

  • Having experienced and renowned faculty members from industry and academia background.

  • The curriculum has been designed on contemporary issues with the inputs from industry experts.
  • The programme leads to career to be: IoT Engineer, IoT Solution Architect, Machine learning engineer, Smart Product Design Engineer, Smart City Design Engineer and others.
  • Available Facility and expertise: IoT Modules, IoT Peripherals, AI Softwares (TensorFlow, Julia, Python).

Career Prospects

It is beneficial to pursue a career in the measurement and control of complex industrial & electrical process. The programme is also beneficial for further studies such as M.EJM.Tech, M.Phil. and Ph.D.

Employment areas are IES, Indian Telephone Industries, BSNL/MTNL, Semiconductor, Chip Design-Industries (Motorola, IBM, HP, STM, Philips, IT etc), Oil sector (IOCL/HPCL/BPCL/IPCL, ONGC, Civil Aviation Department, SAIL, Power Sector (NTPC/NHPC Ltd.), BEL, Indian Railways, ISRO, Software Industries (ALL MNC’S), HAL, Teaching/Research and in the Government Sector.
