M.Tech - Electrical Engineering

M. Tech - Electrical Engineering is a 2 year Post-Graduate Programme offers specializing in the communication system, power system and power electronics, VLSI design, control and instrumentation and photonics.

Eligibility and admission

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field.

Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category)

The 2 years’ duration is divided into 4 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. During the first two semesters, students face different sets of theoretical subjects and practical lab sessions associated with those subjects. In case of the last two semesters, along with few theoretical subjects, students will also have to take care of project work and thesis.

Students have access to lucrative opportunities in Government sector, Enterprises and Departments- BHEL, Indian Railways, Indian Armed Forces, HAL, BSNL, State Electricity Boards, DRDO, Hydroelectric Power plants and, Thermal Power plants. The private sector has even more job opportunities in electrical goods manufacturing sector, telecommunications sector, industries involved in production and manufacturing, energy (solar and wind) sector and more.
