InnSpire-2019 by School of Hospitality ManagementMANDI GOBINDGARH, 01 March, 2019
Inter university competition – InnSpire 2019 – was organized by School of Hospitality Management, RIMT University on 1st March, 2019. There were more than 50 teams from various colleges, institutes & universities that participated in this mega event. A total of six competitions were organized which were Blind Basket Culinary Competition, Dessert & Artisan Bread – Bakery Competition, Happy Petals – Flower arrangement competition, Salsa, Garlic & Fish – 90 minute cooking challenge, Innovative Mixology – Cocktail Making Competition & Hospitality Quiz Competition. Some Prominent colleges that participated were Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh, University Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management, Panjab University, Chandigarh, CGC Landran, SRM University, Sonepat, Heritage College, Shimla, GNA University, Phagwara, M.M. University Mulana, Ambala and many more.
The event was in collaboration with Cremica Foods Ltd, The Lalit Suri group of hotels & Culinary Association of India. The event was organized to promote and encourage hotel management students of the region. The judge panel included experts from academics as well as hotel industry.
Dr. Hukum Chand Bansal, Chancellor, RIMT University, & Dr. A.S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor, RIMT University, graced the event and congratulated the students on their achievement. The Head of School of Hospitality Department at RIMT University, Mr. Shashank Anand, discussed that such events serve as a platform for budding hoteliers to showcase their skills and also proves to be a great source of learning for them.The students displayed exceptional skills and were very enthusiastic about the event.
