Diploma in Bakery and Confectionery

This course is a complete bakery & patisserie programme wherein all aspects of baking and confectionary are taught with extensive hands on training and in-class lectures. An ideal choice for someone who either wants to make a career in this ever growing industry or someone who is aspiring to start their own business.

Eligibility and admission

Passed 10+2 or equivalent with English as one of the subjects with 50% aggregate marks.

    The first 6 months are devoted to complete the course content of the programme; this is done via a combination of both practical & theory classes. Students are also given opportunities to practice what they have learnt every month via various methods such as revision classes and in-class tests. At the end of the 6 months training at our campus, the student is then sent for Industrial Training at a 5 star hotel/ leading restaurant. The training is decided via various methods of selection such as personal interviews & food trials. The entire faculty shall assist each and every student in preparing for the selection process.

    At the end of the industrial training, the student is required to return back to the institute for revision classes and final examinations.

The job openings for a baker range from hotels, restaurants, caterers, supermarkets, bakeries to grocery stores and baking manufacturing companies. Aspirants may also try to have their own openings by becoming entrepreneurs in this field. Industrial bakers produce goods with high-volume mixing machines, ovens and other equipments.
