Diploma in Animal Husbandry and Dairying

Diploma in Animal Husbandry and Dairying is a two-year full-time programme that focuses on imparting on-the-job training in animal care and breeding.

Eligibility and admission

Minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/BC category) in 10+2 examination in aggregate passed with Biology/Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects.

The age requirements are a minimum of 17 years of age, and a maximum of 21 years of age.

The study methodology involves a combination of theoretical and practical training through case studies, projects, presentations, and interaction with experts from the industry.

On successful completion of Diploma in Animal Husbandry course, students may have many avenues to work in. Dairy farms, poultry farms, sheep and rabbit farms, stud farms, race clubs, animal clinics and private/government veterinary hospitals and clinics are areas that require people holding on-job knowledge and expertise.
