B.Sc. (Hons) Zoology

The 3-year B.Sc (Hons.) Zoology programme has been started with a vision to impart in-depth knowledge of Zoology and train students to develop expertise in animal sciences. This programme is mainly designed for keeping the recent career opportunities in the diverse fields of zoological development. A conscious effort has been made so that the curriculum helps the students specifically groomed for the R&D/academic requirement. Multidisciplinary approach and flexibility is the essence of the course which is achieved by offering various electives.

The degree programme is modular. This 3 year full-time course is divided into 6 semesters. The methods of assessment vary widely to suit the nature of the course unit and each level of study.

The many transferable skills that they gain during studies ensure that they are suitable for a wide variety of science careers, whether one wants to be a laboratory-based research scientist or a science journalist.
