B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology

B.Sc (Hons.) Biotechnology is a 3-year full-time undergraduate course that brings together Biology and Technology, introducing to candidates its various application in varied sectors. Qualifying the 10+2 examination in science or any equivalent examination in either three subjects amongst Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology or Mathematics with 50% aggregate marks is prerequisite eligibility criteria for this program.

The programme comprises six semesters spread over three academic years. The programme covers all the related topics of the study fields and designed in a way that it not only imparts the theoretical but practical training also.

Biotechnology is termed as the second largest industry after Multimedia, having the potential of employment in the country. Graduates of the program after the successful completion of the course have major potential in report and analysis in fields of IT including Forex earnings, patent registration, etc. Candidates are trained in the field of Biotechnology to innovate and conduct laboratory work.
