    RIMT University is the only university in the region which has been selected to be the part of Asian University network. Dr. A S Chawla vice-chancellor, who participated in the "second high-level roundtable meeting of ACD at Bangkok", disclosed here on monday that, the decission was taken at a meeting attended by representatives of universities from 14 countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, India, Iran, South Korea, Philipines, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Cambodia

    Dr. Chawla said that the ACD-University network was working on wider acceptability of higher education in the region by establishing Asian Credit Transfer System (ACTS) and directing Degree/Diploma programmes that would have regional exposure and acceptability.

    Such programmes will expose the students to regional challanges and assist them in acquiring knowlwdge from various countries in the region

    RIMT University was nominated from india to be part of six-member ACD university network coordination committe that would work out the draft chapter for givinh a go-ahead to the concept of the ACD-UN. Dr. Chawla said the ACD-UN would promote student leadership through corporate camps and the next leadership camp would be held in Surabaya (indonesia)
