MBA (Operations) is designed to provide the training and knowledge required for careers in supply chain management production operations and service procedures. Students are commonly taught to apply analytical, communications, research and leadership skills to business logistics, learning to troubleshoot and develop solutions to supply chain and logistical problems.
This programme combines classroom lectures with written assignments, simulated operations experiences and examinations. Students are often expected to review and analyse the operational methods of several different types of businesses, including retail establishments, restaurants, manufacturing businesses and more. The core focuses heavily on management principles and strategies.
Some of the particular skills that students may gain include the ability to coordinate service and product delivery processes, evaluate a company's asset capacity and create corporate investment strategies.
Successful students might go on to hold a variety of professional business positions. These could include operations managers, operations analysts, supply chain managers and management consultants.
