Course Overview

The M.Sc. Computer Science course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to develop innovative solutions which the modern computing industry requires. Working with the academic staff of our research centers, they develop applications and solutions in innovative and ground breaking areas such as computer vision and surveillance, robotics, artificial intelligence and mobile devices.

Eligibility and admission

Any bachelor's degree holder of a recognized University having Computer Science/Computer Applications /Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Informatics as one of the major/core subjects studied for at least three years, with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST) in aggregate.

The programme is divided into four semesters. Importance is given by the faculty towards application-oriented subjects, covering various methodologies to develop software products efficiently by utilizing advanced networking technologies and application software.

The range of computing applications and their importance to our way of life have expanded rapidly and gained more importance in recent years. Developments in artificial life, computer vision, robotics, mobile devices and games applications have all become a normal part of our interactions with computing devices. Students can work as IT consultants, IT analysts, technical analyst, software programmers, software designers, product development-analysts or architects, web application developers, database administrators, professors and network administrators. Job canvases include scientists – biology, bio composting executives, biomedical technicians, bio/pharmacy informatics associates, product specialists, molecular biologists, computer science teachers, trained graduate teachers and computer science lecturers.
