Course Overview

The focus in this discipline is on understanding electronic networks and devices, electric magnetic fields, computer fundamentals, communication and control systems. Electronics and Communication Engineering uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electronics to develop components, devices, systems and equipment. It deals with recent trends in communication technology via wire/wireless networks, circuit designs and micro controllers. RIMT offers AICTE approved 3 year diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering covering the basics and advanced topics.

Eligibility and admission

For Diploma of Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, candidates must have cleared Maths, Science & English with overall status pass in matriculation examination .

Students have access to jobs in Government and private companies for installation, operation and maintenance of Electronic equipments and systems. These comprise defence, space research, AIR, civil aviation and the police wireless departments, not to mention. They get to design and develop complex devices and systems for signal processing and telecommunication. Students are preferred candidates for IT companies, find openings in the entertainment transmission industry, UPS companies, at times get appointed as technical and research assistant in Silicon Valley companies and engineering colleges in India and abroad.
