The programme consists of four semesters of six months each, spread across two years. The programme integrates an academic knowledge of management studies with its applications in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
Career opportunities exist both in the public and private sector. In the public sector, there are opportunities in the Directorates and Departments of Tourism as officers, information assistants, tourist guides etc. Another good prospect for qualified tourism professionals is in the private sector with travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hotels, transport. Typical job profiles are assistant manager – marketing, assistant manager - operations (hotels & resorts), counter sales executive, assistant manager – placements, key account managers, associate executives - hospitality consultancy and• placement coordinators.
