Course Overview

The 4-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design programme equips students about colour theory, design, and drawings are used to create visual messages. They can also gain knowledge and skills in various software programs that allow them to create original design.

Eligibility and admission

10+2 in any stream under 10+2 or 10th with two years Diploma in Art & Craft, Fine Arts, Fashion Designing or Interior Designing with minimum 40% marks in aggregate.

The programme introduces practical and theoretical principles of fine arts, including drawing, painting, graphic printing, sculpture, installation, photography, digital media and performance. Through hands-on experience, students develop their own creative artistic concept and implement object-related artworks with their own creative approach. Teaching staff supervises and supports throughout study. Students attend seminars and lectures on such as art theory, philosophy and sociology. Along with individual and group discussions on students’ work, there are excursions as well as opportunities to conduct art projects outside the school. In the final phase of the study, students implement and present the final project.

Students get to become illustrators, visualizers, ideators, conceptualists, storyboard artists, concept artists, art directors/supervisors, creative directors/supervisors, brand planners, brand identity designers, digital strategists, digital designers, interactive media designers and user experience designers.
