BA Psychology is an undergraduate Psychology course. Psychology is the scientific study of the mental and behavioural functions of humans and animals. Subjects usually studied under this degree are general psychology, statistics, physiological psychology, social psychology, research methods & psychology testing, abnormal psychology, development psychology, organizational psychology, child and adolescent psychology, industrial psychology etc. Some of the areas may include: teaching industry the best ways to select and motivate employees, providing crucial insight into the background of social problems such as suicide, addiction and child abuse. The duration of the course is three years and it opens many opportunities for successfully passed students in different fields including further study options.
The duration of the programme is three years. Generally, students need to study subjects as compulsory and electives across six semesters.
Arts students have the option to choose to major and minor in English, French, any other linguistics course, psychology, sociology, philosophy, history, religious studies and many more subject areas. For example the ability to analyse tasks, set priorities, and communicate goals to others. Employment areas are advertising, broadcasting, business process outsourcing units, civil services, community service, film editing and direction, graphics and printing industry, international relations, journalism and mass communication, law, library and information science, policing, professional writing, public administration, public planning, religious studies and social work.
