Course Overview

B. Tech (Hons) - Electronics & Communication Engineering is an undergraduate Electronic and Communication Engineering programme. Electronics & Communication Engineering is a merger of two basic branches viz., Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is one of the largest and fastest growing sectors of industry. The programme provides a sound foundation for people wishing to pursue a career in electrical engineering, communications, control systems, robotics or sensor systems, through a diverse range of theoretical skills and practical experience, presented in the context of real applications and design experience.

Eligibility and admission

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

The duration of the course is four years and across eight semesters. It is career orienting in nature.

Modules of this programme train the student to plan, design, install, operate, control and maintain complex systems that produce materials.

It is beneficial to pursue a career in the measurement and control of complex industrial & electrical process. The programme is also beneficial for further studies such as M.EJM.Tech, M.Phil. and Ph.D.
