Course Overview

B. Tech (Hons) - Automobile Engineering is an undergraduate Automobile Engineering course. Automobile engineering is a branch of vehicle engineering, incorporating elements of mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering as applied to the design, manufacture and operation of motorcycles, automobiles, buses and trucks and their respective engineering.

Eligibility and admission

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

The duration of this engineering course is four years across eight semesters.

Students can pursue Masters Degree and do Ph.D or get jobs in automobile manufacturing companies, service centres and can also successfully run their own businesses. Jobs exist in research and development, CAD/CAM designing and manufacturing, sales and components manufacturing of vehicles.
